Last week, my best friend got her HPV vaccination. And that gave me the idea to inform you people about HPV and more.

So basically what is HPV and why are we talking about HPV vaccines importance these days more?

HPV is abridge for Human papillomavirus and usually accurs when the virus transffered by skin to skin contact. Briefly, it is sexually transmitted infection which can shows no symptoms sometimes. However when it do it can cause some serious health issues for people, especially for women.

HPV can be responsible for genital warts and cervical cancer . If we list the cancer types by the percentages, on the top of the list we have, anal cancers and vaginal cancers.

Moreover, I would like the talk about the misconception that some of us hear all the time.After my friends vaccination I realise that major part of the women, at least in my country, avoid to have it vaccinited. I'm not sure if this is due to other factors or social pressures, but HPV does not mean more than one sexuall partner , it can also transfered from the first sexual activty or only one sexual partner.

With that being said , in low risk cases , the viruses can be cleaned out by our immune systems. It can cause genital warts however has no cancer risk. However, body cannot clears out the high-risk HPV. High-risk HPV can also be called as persistent HPV infection. And this type of HPV is causes cancer, mostly cervical cancer for women.

How do we prevent ourselfs from HPV ?

In recent decades, vaccinations have become the most important technique. Remember that getting vaccinated against HPV only stops new infections; it does not cure pre-existing illnesses or infections. The HPV vaccine functions best when administered prior to any HPV exposure.

HPV vaccination routine is recommended to start at age 11-12. Six to twelve months following the initial dosage, the second dose of the HPV vaccine should be injected.

HPV is an important issue for an women. I belive vaccination for this particular virues should be required for after some aged in women. As long as I know Australia HPV vaccine is required for women under the age of 26. However, some women are not that lucky around the world. Numerous females are still awaiting their vaccinations. For social or religious reasons, some people might not want it done. This is normal, but we should be aware that this virus can be spread even through the public restrooms we use on a daily basis.
