BLADDER CONTROL AFTER GIVING BIRTH.

I am aware that I took a long hiatus. Greetings to all after an extremely hectic month!

I am intrigued and will write about it since I saw it in a source that is closely related to the topic I will be writing about today. My brother and I are about thirteen years apart in age. I also got to see up close the changes my mother's body underwent after giving birth to my brother.

Bladder control was one among them.

Consequently, why was this taking place?

It's more difficult to manage your bladder because of changes in your body during pregnancy.

Not being able to control your bladder results in urinary incontinence. Incontinence might cause you to feel the need to urinate suddenly or to leak urine in between restroom breaks.

Additionally, you might notice that you're using the restroom more frequently.

There are numerous causes of bladder control issues, including pregnancy and childbirth.

Urinary incontinence can, thankfully, be treated and even completely cured. It's best to get help as soon as possible.

Planned toilet breaks, diet adjustments, and Kegel exercises can all be beneficial.

What causes urinary incontinence?

Your bladder is in front of your uterus. Your bladder may become less capacious due to pressure or squishing from the developing fetus inside your uterus. Additionally, the pelvic floor muscles that keep your bladder in place weaken and loosen during pregnancy due to hormonal changes. These muscles get more flexible when progesterone levels rise. Your body can adapt to a developing fetus and give birth when you are flexible.

How common is urinary incontinence ?

Urine leaks during childbirth are extremely prevalent. Leakage is something that happens to one in three postpartum mothers.

Some new mothers may sneeze, cough, laugh, or exercise and then leak pee.

Treatment Options For Bladder Control

  • Kegel Exercises

  • Consume foods high in fiber

  • Reduce the amount of fluids you consume

  • Medication

  • Surgery
