BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

I recently found out that one of my favorite celebrities had breast cancer. In the video, she said that because of her early diagnosis, the lump was removed right away, and she is currently not having any problems.

My goal in writing on this blog is to educate and empower women about their own health. I may be late in writing about breast cancer, arguably the most significant and delicate issue facing women. Let me begin by apologizing and then let's get the information flowing!

What is Breast Cancer ?

The three basic components of a breast are connective tissue, ducts, and lobules. The glands that generate milk are called lobules. The tubes that transport milk to the nipple are called ducts. Which I mentioned in my last blog How Does Breastfeeding Works? Thus, do give it a look if you haven't already.

Breast cancer is a condition when the breast's cells multiply uncontrollably. Breast cancer comes in various forms. Which breast cells develop into cancer determines the type of breast cancer.

Men and women can both get breast cancer, although women are significantly more likely to have it.

SYMPTOMS

  • A breast enlargement or lump that seems unnatural in relation to the surrounding tissue

  • A newly inverted nipple

  • A breast's size, shape, or appearance changing

  • The pigmented skin around the nipple (areola) or breast skin might peel, scale, crust, or flake.

  • Alterations to the breast skin.

  • Your breast skin may be red or have pits, similar to the skin on an orange.

TYPES OF BREAST CANCER

Invasive ductal carcinoma The cancer cells start in the ducts and spread to other areas of the breast tissue as they mature. Moreover, invasive cancer cells have the ability to metastasis, or spread, to different bodily regions.

Invasive lobular carcinoma Cancer cells start in the lobules and subsequently migrate to neighboring breast tissues from the lobules. It is also possible for these invasive cancer cells to spread to different body areas.

Breast cancer awareness month

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

Every October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month is observed with the goal of promoting cancer screening and prevention.

Known for its pink theme color, the month offers several events and campaigns that emphasize the value of routine screening, raise money for breast cancer research, and inform people about risk factors for the disease.
